Youth Engagement Lead & Podcast presenter
In 2019 I was released from Prison having served 5 years at the age 26. Overcoming the challenges that follow after release instilled in me a sense of purpose to change my life around, rebuild and achieve my goals.
The goal to be the best version of myself for myself and my parents. Most importantly to be able to use my lived experience to empower and support young people.
I always remind myself that I’ve made it through the darkest days and there will always be a light at the end of the tunnel.
Since my release, I have been determined to work hard, stay focused, and make my parents proud.
I did not let my experiences define me and took every opportunity that came my way to aid my growth and development.
In 2020 I started my own construction consultancy business , and as with any new business it has had it challenges. However providing a quality service for my clients to build their dream homes has given me a sense of fulfilment.
I have always aimed to ensure that I give those who have had similar experiences to me the opportunity to work and create their own portfolios.
“I have made it a personal mission to a remain focused and lead by the example showing that you can change your whole life around regardless of what life may throw at you.”
Being a part of XCONVERSATION and being able to support others to take small steps to changing their lives serves my new purpose.
